Old – New ”Connect with your dream job” workshops from 2014

Since 2010 I have been facilitating ”Connect with your dream job” (CWYDJ) support meetings under the umbrella of JO(B)ANNADream Job Diva Career and Life Coaching, and Connecting Women. Now I wish to thank Connecting Women for giving me a chance to start up the group under their organisation and promoting and supporting it. Thanks to it, I was able to grow as a coach and a facilitator.

As of January 2014 ”Connect with your dream job” will be run only under the umbrella of JO(B)ANNADream Job Diva – Career and Life Coaching, and as always it will be facilitated by JO(B)ANNA.

The idea of being a support, for those who are searching for a job, remains the main issue of the workshops, however there will be some changes:

CWYDJ  will be paid – 10,- euro per workshop;

CWYDJ will have a form of a structured workshop, than just a support group meeting, however there               will be a room as always to share and learn from each other as that was the biggest assets               of each meeting;

CWYDJ will take 2 hours;

CWYDJ will be for women and men;

CWYDJ minimum amount of participant 2 – maximum amount of participant 10;

CWYDJ will take place in The Hague, unless you arrange a group and location elsewhere;

For dates and time please check this Dream Job Diva blog regularly and / or the Facebook Dream Job Diva Coaching Page.

To book the workshop session(s) send an e-mail: info@dreamjobdiva.com.

Thank you for choosing JO(B)ANNA – Dream Job Diva Career and Life Coaching.

See you in 2014!

Dream Job of Olga Mecking

I know Olga for a few months now through Upward Spiral Group, however even though we are both in The Hague we have not had a chance to meet face to face yet. Though we are already exchange lots of nice chit chats:) It is always great to meet like minded person.

Name:               Olga Mecking

What is your dream?

My dream is to be paid for the work I am doing, or to get a job offer because of it…. and at the same time, to have enough time and peace of mind to raise my children.

What is my dream job?

I think it’s what I do now: blogging, writing, giving trainings in intercultural communication, translating and being a Stay-at-home mom to my three children. I would love to have a good balance between work, family and myself.

How did you achieve your goal = dream job? / how do you plan to achieve your goal=dream job?

That’s a tough one. I would love to be paid for my work. I do get some earnings, but they are very low and I would love to get paid more. This would require a lot of work on my blog, building an audience, writing great content, and finding a good design for my website, www.europeanmama.eu .

What is your tip to others concerning the Dream Job / Life?

Give it a try! Know when to pursuit your goal at al costs, and know when to start something else. Never stop learning!

Who are you?

I am a Polish woman living in the Netherlands with my German husband and three children. I am passionate about multilcultural, raising multilingual children and all things related to culture in general. I lived in Poland, Germany, Canada and now live in the Netherlands where I am (most of the time) a mom to my children, and sometimes provide trainings in intercultural communication, translation projects (Polish, German and English), and I also have a blog where I share my insights about all the things I care about: www.europeanmama.eu

Dream Job of Anna Medrykowska

I am not sure if it was 2001 or 2002 when I have met Anna (Ania) for the first time. Also I am not sure any more if we were in a bus to or from Poland to the Netherlands, yest there were the times, I was traveling 20 hours by bus to get to the Netherlands. What I remember is that Ania and me, we spent talking the whole journey like we have known each other for ages. And funny enough we are both from Warsaw / Poland. Now thanks to the modern technology, even we live in two different countries we are still in touch and therefore, Ania agreed to share her dreams with all of you…

Name:                   Anna Medrykowska

Country / city:        London, UK     Ania

What is your dream?

Travel the world with my son to come and my husband.

What is my dream job?

Working for the European Commission in Brussels, in an international environment.

How did you achieve your goal = dream job? / how do you plan to achieve your goal=dream job?

Sometimes it can be a lengthy and difficult process. You have to take exams so studying is essential.
I always keep myself up to date with European affairs, look out for people who already work for the institution and can give me advice and volunteer to enhance my CV and learn new skills. Languages are also important and I have always put great emphasis on them.

What is your tip to others concerning the Dream Job / Life?

First of all, research so that you know a lot about what you want to do or where you want to work. And be brave and persistent. Sometimes getting what you want might require a lot of time but if something is truly in your heart, you mustn’t give up. It is worth fighting for that one job which you hopefully will be enjoying for the rest of your life. Do not let the fear of risk prevent you from going after what you really want.

Who are you?

I am a Pole who is currently living in London where I finished uni, and where I am now working in a UAE headquartered oil company. In love with Brazil, travelling and dance, the latter currently on hold due to baby Max coming very soon.

Dream Job of Natalia Uzieblo-Kiyak

I have met Natalia, not so long ago during one of the networking events. This time it was a 14 years anniversary of existence of ToP (Polish Women association in The Netherlands). We are both from Warsaw and now happily we are both living in The Hague – thanks to the ToP, I am meeting more and more very interesting, fun, intelligence and special people.

Name:                              Natalia Uzieblo-Kiyak

Country / city:               Den Haag, Netherlands, I come from Warsaw, Poland          Natalia

What is your dream?

My dream is our Planet with clean air, fresh water and food for everybody. On 20 August 2013 we officially have used the resources of our Mother Earth (WWF). My dream is all the people waking up and no war because of lack of water around year 2050*.

What is my dream job?

Work for the development of eco-energy, pollution-free, eco-farms producing fruits and vegetables without the use of pesticides and artificial fertilizers, reducing deforestation, providing drinking water to people who lack it, expand awareness of the people to whom nothing is missing. I believe that behind the corner, probably something even better is waiting for me.
The key word is awareness and being non-stop aware. A job where I can be myself without shutting down myself after crossing the threshold, that’s what I wish to everyone.
At this point I would like the reader to pay attention to the fact that each of our choice in favour of this or that product, is against or for the planet. If at least one person will be making as much as possible selections pro the Planet,it was worth to write these words.

How to reduce our ecological foot print and take care of Earth every day? WWF recommends that you use there strain of power, replace the car for a bicycle or public transport as soon as possible,eat the food, which was created in an environmentally friendly way and choose products with organic certification. When buying fish and fish products check you have the MSC certification ensures that the fish come from sustainable fisheries. Buy products which were produced close to the place where you live. You will be sure they weren’t transported from too far and you are not paying for polluting the air by the car which was transporting the food.

How did you achieve your goal = dream job? / how do you plan to achieve your goal=dream job?

My plan is to meet people who care about the situation in which we are now.

What is your tip to others concerning the Dream Job / Life?

At this point,I am thinking ofAhimsa. AsMahatma Gandhisaid, is not only not to kill, but do not harm any creature in thought, word or deed. **

Who are you?

I am wife of my loving husband Utku and mother of Miko Ali. We are expats now. We are in the beginning of our trip through life and I know it will be a beautiful journey. We have Polish and Turkish origins and nomadic characters. This sounds like a good scenario.

*Philip Wollen, ex City Bank’s CEO, famous speech,http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMzd6DvTg3E

**Ahimsa does not simply mean non-killing. Himsa means causing pain to or killing any life out of anger or for a selfish purpose or with the intention of injuring it. Refraining from so doing is ahimsa. Ahimsa means not to injure any creature by thought, word or deed. True ahimsa should mean a complete freedom from ill- will and anger and hate and an overflowing love for all. Ahimsa is the attribute of the soul and therefore to be practiced by everybody in all the affairs of life. http://www.gandhianpeace.com/quotes.html

Dream Job of Noa Brume

I have met Noa more than a year ago during an open morning for coaching academy, where I used to study and after all I was an assistant of the teacher. Noa also participated in some of my ”Connect with your dream job” meetings, and even during one she deliver a short presentation.

Name: Noa Brume

Country/City: Den Haag, Nederlands     Noa Brume

What is your dream?

My dream is to always have enough (or more) than what I need (time, love, materialistic things will help too of course) so that I can just give and give to others as much as possible with no limitations.

What is my dream job?

My dream job is to deepen what I do now: I want to combine my profession as a counsellor / coach with my love for teaching and education. I want to run more successful workshops which will help people leaving them with food for thoughts and a big smile in their heart.

How did you achieve your goal = dream job? / How do you plan to achieve your goal=dream job?

In the past, where I have considered myself as being very successful in what I’ve done, I’ve always made sure that I become the best I can in what I do: if it’s by studying, reading, observing others in their work- I just had to become the best I could possibly be (and the emphasis is on the word “I”). This has proven to work for me because then I could deliver the best of me, was highly appreciated and got offered jobs and promotions. This is not perfectionism but rather being in a place where I’m highly comfortable with what I’m doing. That seemed to work, so I’ve got every intention to do the same with my dream job mentioned above: just thrive to be the best I can at all time.

What is your tip to others concerning the Dream Job / Life?

I have two things really:

One, is remembering that the person is “making the job” and not the other way around. So even if you start with a small job, make it something big, enjoy it to the full, come to work with a smile: it could be just a foot in the door and other jobs can come out of it, or it could be that you’ll make it so successful and huge that who knows… it’ll become your dream job!

The other one has to do with my passion and connection to Positive Thinking / Positive Mental Attitude:When people say to you that you won’t be successful, that you’re not good enough, that you “don’t have it” and that better people than you have tried and failed, don’t take it into your heart: They don’t talk about you, they talk about themselves. (These words were said by a guy called Eliav Alaluf, and believe me; he knows why he says that).

Who are you?

My name is Noa Brume. I’ve been living in The Hague since summer 2010 and enjoying every moment in this wonderful international and diverse community. I work as a counsellor / coach in my own practice which I have at home: a place which I love because it’s so peaceful, relaxed and private. I love working with my clients, seeing how they find their path to a better place for them. Before becoming a counsellor / coach I was a teacher and an educator, and taught Modern Hebrew in the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, at Oxford University and in schools in London. I have a very strong passion to Positive Thinking, Self-Awareness and Positive Mental Attitude, and I give lectures and run workshops on the subject. I’m married to a wonderful man and we have three wonderful children at home. I love people and believe in the power of people and the great things they can
 achieve with willingness, a pinch of love and a smile.

Dream Job of Nicole Jordan

I even do not remember how, when and even where I have met this beautiful and cheerful woman, it must have been one of the networking events run in The Hague. To be honest, unfortunately I have never seen Nicole performing, however few minutes spent with her brings such a pleasure that I can only imagine what impact she may have while on stage.

Name:                  Dr. Nicole Jordan

Country / city:  Currently in Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago, but normally based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands

What is your dream?              286878_10150410588589502_1752435_o

My dream is to travel the world doing what I love to do: singing!

What is my dream job?

Singing. I have made my career as a singer by immersing myself in anything and everything related to singing. I am a performer, teacher, and have a PhD in Music Psychology. I divide my time between mainland Europe, Canada, and Trinidad & Tobago.

How did you achieve your goal = dream job? / how do you plan to achieve your goal=dream job?

I am always pursuing my dream. It never ends. I just love what I do – it may sound like a cliché, but have made my passion my work. That’s really the fundamental truth to satisfaction in my work. My work can be unreliable and it takes a great deal of energy, but I keep pursuing it despite the ups and downs.

What is your tip to others concerning the Dream Job / Life?

Listen to your heart, but most importantly, don’t be afraid to follow it. I realised my heart was speaking loud and clear about what I wanted to do, but it was fear that was stopping me from following it. Now I know that to ignore my heart is far worse than taking the risk and following it.

Who are you?

I am a Trinidadian-born, Canadian-raised soprano, educated in the UK, and living in The Netherlands. I’m a kind of singing gypsy. The world is my home. I sing primarily early and contemporary music, but I love all classical repertoire. I teach voice out of the ‘Open Up Studios’ in The Hague and Rotterdam. I also direct my own ensemble called Alchemy. I am currently a Visiting Artist at the University of Trinidad & Tobago where I am teaching voice and Music Psychology.
